asus-g701v1

If you are looking for a true PC desktop replacement for high-end VR gaming, the ASUS ROG G701VI might be up your alley. The new 17.3-inch notebook has some impressive hardware inside, such as an Intel Core i7  i7-6820HK CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU.

Both the Intel CPU and the NVIDIA GPU are factory overclocked to get even more performance, and the GPU can also run external 4K PC monitors. The laptop is also the first with a 120Hz wide-viewing angle display with G-SYNC, which ASUS says helps to get rid of screen tearing, along with “minimizing stutter and input lag”. The 7.92-pound notebook also comes with 512GB of SSD storage, which can be expanded to add another 512GB of storage. It also comes along with 32GB of RAM that can be expanded to 64GB. The laptop has three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port and a USB 3.1 Type-C port.

Obviously, with all of this hardware and performance, the price for the ASUS ROG G701VI is pretty steep. Amazon is currently selling it for $3,699.
