If you’ve been holding off on jumping into VR because of the price, we don’t blame you. Most VR headsets are still quite expensive and are relatively taxing to run, so wanting to wait is understandable. But not on Black Friday! If you’re ready to pull the trigger on some new VR kit, we’ve got all the best VR Black Friday deals in one place.
Fans of the HTC Vive will be happy to know that they can snag the premier Virtual Reality headset for $100 off essentially universally this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That means you can get it at Amazon, NewEgg, Vive.com, GameStop, Fry’s and even the Microsoft Store.
This deal is only available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so make sure you remember to buy on one of these two days. In addition, students who purchase from Microsoft can get an additional 10% off their order, making the HTC Vive only $630 before tax, which is $170 off retail.

HTC will be offering a number of deals on their new Viveport app throughout the weekend, including 50% off more than 20 titles, $10 back after a $30 purchase, and even a $5 bundle deal including the three popular titles Soundstage, Arcade Artist, and Lumen. If you’ve been waiting to fill up your library, now’s your chance! These sales will last all weekend, from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, so you can purchase your games whenever is convenient.

Steam’s Fall Sale is in full swing, and that means lots and lots of games are discounted to insanely low prices. Valve has been notorious for highlighting a number of VR games since the launch of the Vive, and they are celebrating by discounting over 250 of the best virtual reality titles.
You can get some of the best games like Project Cars, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Tabletop Simulator, The Brookhaven Experiment, Vanishing Realms and more for upwards of 50% off, so we highly recommend you pick up some titles here if you haven’t already. These sales will likely keep coming throughout the duration of the Fall sale, so you needn’t be in a rush to grab your favorite game.
Rift + Cyberpower PC Bundle
Holy realities, Batman! This deal is insane. For a limited time, Amazon is offering a VR-ready Cyber Power PC with an Oculus Rift bundle for just $999. This isn’t the new minimum spec PC, either. This is an Intel Core i5-6502P CPU, AMD RX 480 GPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB hard drive. You even get a keyboard and mouse! All you need now is a monitor and you’re ready to go. In total you’ll be saving about $300 over buying things separately, so if you’ve been itching to get into VR or really PC gaming in general, this is a great buy. Find it here.
$100 Oculus Store Credit
The Oculus Rift isn’t on sale exactly, but if you pick one up at a participating location such as the Microsoft Store, Best Buy, or Amazon on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you can walk away with a $100 Oculus Store gift code in hand. While this won’t physically discount the cost of the Rift itself, it should help to fill your library with new games to play in virtual reality. Unfortunately, the code only applies to digital content, so buyers will not be able to use their code to offset the cost of the new Oculus Touch hand controllers when they release early next month.
“Black Friday Surprises” at the Oculus Store
The Facebook-owned company is having a number of “Black Friday Surprises” in store for customers on it’s digital marketplace. So far there’s a 33 percent discount on Dirt Rally, 25 percent off Edge of Nowhere and further discounts on The Assembly and other games. We’re sure this will be similar to the summer sale they had to combat Valve’s annual summer event, but keep an eye on there to ensure you don’t miss out.
Samsung Gear VR
Free Gear VR and Gift Cards With Galaxy S7 Purchase
For those looking to pick up a new Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge from Best Buy during this year’s biggest shopping event, you can expect to get a free Gear VR and $400 store gift card with your purchase. Best Buy is also offering an additional $50 Oculus Store gift card to attempt to sway customers away from other tech retail giants with similar deals like Target (which offers a $250 gift card and $50 Oculus Store gift card). Whichever store you buy from, a free headset and gift card is an incredible deal, so make sure to snag it if you were thinking of picking up either of these phones.
Sony PlayStation VR
10% Off Games From the PlayStation Store
Sony isn’t offering any sort of deal on their PlayStation VR headset, likely because they are still selling like hotcakes worldwide. You can, however, take advantage of a sale that Sony is offering on the PlayStation store which takes 10% off any game. This includes PSVR titles as well, so if you already have a headset or are picking one up soon, you might as well take advantage and grab that new VR games you wanted for just a little bit less.
PlayStation 4 (and Pro) Deals
Oh boy, this list is long. While the virtual reality headset that connects to the PlayStation 4 isn’t on sale, the physical console is. Like, everywhere.
- PS4 Slim Uncharted Bundle with The Last of Us Remastered and Ratchet and Clank – $250 @ Best Buy
- PS4 Slim Uncharted Bundle with $30 Walmart Gift Card – $250 @ Walmart
- PS4 Slim Uncharted Bundle – $250 @ GameStop, Kohl’s, Target, and Toys ‘R’ Us

If you haven’t yet gotten your hands on a system to run Sony’s new PlayStation VR headset, now would be the time to do so. It’s unlikely we will see sales like this again for a while.
VR Source Google Cardboard
Ok this isn’t exactly a Black Friday sale, but they are on sale, darn it! Over at Amazon you can pick up one of our VR Source Google Cardboard headsets in either Black, White, or our signature Purple Haze. These are normally $19.99 and are on sale for $12.99, and come with a nice head strap similar to that on Google’s Daydream View. Check it out!
That wraps up our Black Friday VR sales post. If we missed anything be sure to let us know and we’ll add it here ASAP!
