Samsung and Fox have launched a virtual reality prequel to Fox’s upcoming 24 spin-off series, 24: Legacy. The Raid is available exclusively for Samsung VR and takes place nine months before the opening of 24: Legacy, which premieres Sunday, February 5.

Samsung promises that The Raid offers an “exciting, immersive experience that puts viewers at the center of a raid led by Lieutenant Eric Carter,” the lead of the new show played by Corey Hawkins.

Like the original series, 24: Legacy takes place in real time and revolves around the operations of a US Counter Terrorist Unit, known by its abbreviation CTU. A number of crew members who worked on the previous show have returned, though Kiefer Sutherland — who played Jack Bauer in more than 200 episodes across nine 24 seasons — will be involved only as an executive producer.

The Raid is available now for Gear VR headsets or you can access (without a Gear VR) at the Samsung VR website.
