Superhot VR is one of the standout shooters when it comes to virtual reality but the title has remained an exclusive on the Oculus Rift since last year when it launched.
The developers have taken to Twitter that suggests the exclusivity may be coming to an end. In a rather obvious hint, a tweet sees the games logo holding a flashing HTC Vive logo complete with the words ‘soon’. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Superhot VR could soon be coming to the HTC Vive, which would be a welcome addition to the platform.
- HTC Vive gets lighter and includes new Base Station and packaging
- Modders are working on Half-Life 2 in VR for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift
- HTC Vive payment plans revealed, prices for Deluxe Audio Strap, Tracker
Superhot VR is one of the best demonstrations on how virtual reality can enhance the shoot em’ up genre. If you stop moving, so do the enemies, and with limited ammo and weapons you have to carefully plan your assault.
SUPERHOT VR is a title reimagined from the ground up for Oculus Rift and Touch controllers. The fruit of over three years of close cooperation between the critically acclaimed SUPERHOT Team and Oculus, SUPERHOT VR brings the intensely visceral action of SUPERHOT directly into your head and soul.
The game has seen plenty of updates to bring new levels and content to enhance the experience and no doubt this will all be included in the HTC Vive version.
No word on when the title will be released for the HTC Vive but here’s hoping it lands sooner rather than later. Unfortunately there’s no word on the Playstation VR version just yet.
