With SteamVR launching alongside the HTC Vive, the world of virtual reality will now start to really heat up with content. Valve have created a new trailer to demonstrate the capabilities of their SteamVR software and also the HTC Vive they helped collaboratively make.
The trailer begins with a family receiving their brand new HTC Vive in the post, and showcases them opening and setting up the headset. It then jumps to Valve’s headquarters with a green screen demo area and Chet Falizek, the developer and writer who’s become the spokesperson for VT at Valve. The video then features a wide variety of videogames for the HTC Vive including: The Lab, theBlu, Job Simulator, Cloudlands: VR Minigolf, Fantastic Contraption,Irrational Exuberance, Audioshield, Final Approach, Space Pirate Trainer,Everest VR, Arizona Sunshine, Elite Dangerous, Budget Cuts, Hover Junkers, Tilt Brush, and The Gallery – Episode 1.
The HTC Vive is available for £689 or $799 excluding delivery directly through it’s dedicated website with the next shipments set to go out on Monday 11th April.
