Blair Witch: VR Edition released exclusively on Quest last year, instantly earning many positive reviews thanks to its chilling atmosphere, clever environmental puzzles, and graphical fidelity. Now, all Oculus Rift owners can enjoy an enhanced version of the game that takes full advantage of the ample processing power modern PCs have at their disposal.

“Blair Witch: VR Edition is a story-driven psychological horror game based on the cinematic lore of Blair Witch,” writes the game’s developer, Bloober Team, on its Oculus Rift Store page. “As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, join the search for a missing boy in the iconic Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland.”

If you’ve played the non-VR version of Blair Witch, which was published by Lionsgate Games for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass on August 30, 2019, then you should know that Blair Witch: VR Edition is much more than a direct port.

According to its developer, the game has been rebuilt from the ground up to offer the most immersive virtual reality experience possible. Environments are more interactive and detailed, gameplay mechanics are refined, and there are even extra creature encounters to give you more reasons to keep the light on at night.

Blair Witch: VR Edition costs $29.99, and the recommended specifications include an Intel i5-8600K, Nvidia GTX 1080, and 8 GB of RAM. The game is available in English, Chinese (China), French (France), German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Spanish (Spain).

We know that a PSVR version is coming later this summer, but we don’t have any information about a SteamVR version. It’s possible that it will release soon as a free update to the PC game, but it could also launch as a standalone version.
