With the HTC Vive starting to ship as of Tuesday 5 April, many consumers will be excited as their pre-orders receive shipment notifications as HTC begin to fulfil orders. Unfortunately, whilst most are filled with excitement and anticipation, there has been some problems with some pre-orders being cancelled. HTC have offered some advice when it comes to being affected by this mishap and has issued instructions as to what to do.
According to the latest blog post by HTC a ‘limited number’ of customers have been experiencing auto cancellations due to payment processing issues with banks. HTC are working behind the scenes to re-instate a majority of those orders that were affected by the issue, but HTC advises that if users still find themselves with a cancelled pre-order to notify their bank of the purchase. It is an odd issue to have impacted pre-orders so be sure to contact the relevant party if you find yourself affected.
HTC have apologised for the problems and aim to work with affected customers to solve them, saying: “We want to assure our customers that we’ll work with them to process their payment so they can receive their Vive when they were expecting it.” Buyers can contact customer support either by calling HTC on +1 888-216-4736 or contact support online.
