There may be no better way to experience virtual reality gaming than through a good racing game. Today, Electronic Arts officially released Need For Speed No Limits VR, the latest entry in its over 20-year-old racing game franchise. The game is currently an exclusive for Google’s Daydream View headset.
This new Need For Speed game is set in the fictional city of Blackridge, but the player can select his or her ride from a choice of many real-world vehicles, including the Subaru WRX STI, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, the BMW M4 Coupe, and the Porsche 911. The game offers players a chance to race in four different environments and 12 tracks, for a total of 60 different events.
The game has the player racing against a number of different crews on the streets, and the VR features allow racers to see the entire interior of their ride while they try to beat the rivals at the finish line. Also, it would not be a Need For Speed game without the police trying to ruin your “friendly” drive, so players need to be on the lookout for the cops trying to bring them down.
Need For Speed No Limits VR, unlike other mobile games in the series, is not free-to-play; it costs $14.99 up front to download and play the game from the Google Play Store.
