After launching its consumer-only headset, the Neo 3, in China, Pico Interactive has just announced the launch of its enterprise headsets, the Neo 3 Pro and Neo 3 Pro Eye, in the West, including North America and Europe.

Designed for businesses, the two headsets have a replaceable and washable PU sterilizable face cushion that makes them hygienic even in intense multi-user applications. Their counterbalance design, with the battery pack located in the rear, helps achieve optimal weight distribution and optimal long-term comfort.

“Business needs are constantly evolving due to the changing landscape all industries are finding themselves in due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Henry Zhou, CEO of Pico Interactive. “For the Neo 3 line, we implemented the latest technologies to meet the ever-changing demands of the enterprise.”

The Neo 3 Pro and Neo 3 Pro Eye are powered by the Snapdragon XR2 platform, the first XR (extended reality) platform that unites 5G and AI for fantastic AR and VR experiences. The headsets share the same 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 3664 x 1920 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz.

Improved tracking has been achieved using two optical 6DoF controllers instead of two electromagnetic ones. Compared with the previous generation, the number of cameras has doubled, going from two mono fisheye cameras to four.

The main difference between the Pico Neo 3 Pro and Neo 3 Pro Eye is the inclusion of Tobii eye-tracking in the latter model, making it ideal for businesses that would like to gather real-time data about headset wearers and turn it into unique insights into human behavior and conditions.

The Neo 3 Pro is available for pre-order at $699, and the Neo 3 Pro Eye at $899 from Pico Interactive’s official website, and they’re expected to ship in Q3 2021.
