One of the stand out titles from the Playstation VR launch line-up was that of Playstation VR Worlds from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s London Studio. The Developer has now confirmed that they are also working on another PSVR title.

A job listing on the Playstation website confirms that the studio are looking to develop yet another title for the Playstation VR. Looking for a Graphics Programmer, the listing states that the new hire will be focused on working on the “second PS-VR title” for the studio.
This is a great opportunity for a graphics programmer to join an established tech team focused on bringing out the best of PS4 in VR. Building upon our proprietary engine – tailored for high performance, high quality graphics in VR – you will have a critical role to play in shaping our future, as you adapt the latest graphics algorithms as applied to VR.
Also mentioned by the job listing this exciting new project being developed by the studio will push the player experience to new heights.
Unfortunately the clues as to what the next VR title could be end there and we’re only left to speculate what the title alongside Playstation World could be. Whatever it ends up being, it’s clear that Sony Interactive Entertainment are looking to push the boundaries of what is currently possible with VR, at least in terms of interaction with the player.
It might even be that the studio could be looking towards exploring Augmented Reality and potentially looking to introduce new hardware to adapt the PSVR for this technology, but that’s purely speculation.
We’ll be sure to watch this one closely and report on any advances as to what Sony Interactive Entertainment could have up its sleeve when it comes to its next VR title.
