Following the first trailer for the upcoming puzzle adventure game Wanderer, New Zealand-based studios M Theory and Oddboy have just released the second one, showing even more gameplay footage and interesting locations than before.

In Wanderer, you play as Asher Neumann, and your job is nothing less important than saving the world by preventing an apocalyptic event from taking place by going on a time-bending journey and traveling to various moments in history.

“Built from the ground up for VR, Wanderer has a unique blend of escape room style puzzles, tactile hands on interactions and action arcade sequences to bring you the ultimate time travel adventure,” state the game’s developers on its Steam page.

The places you’ll visit over the course of the game include future Boston, the town of Bethel, where over 500,000 people gathered for the Woodstock Festival, and even the Sea of Tranquility, the landing site for the first manned landing on the Moon.

Similar to games like What Remains of Edith Finch, Wanderer will let you have fun with a variety of gameplay mechanics, such of puzzle solving, RC car racing, and gun fighting, offering something for everyone.

The game is designed specifically for VR, and it’s planned to be a three-part series, with the first part set to arrive in a late Q3 2021 on most VR platforms, including PlayStation VR, SteamVR and Oculus confirmed.

“While Wanderer is an ambitious effort in delivering a feature-length game for VR, our team is confident the graphics, gameplay and story will offer an exciting prospect for VR gamers,” the game’s developers note in a statement.
