Rick and Morty VR simulator coming to HTC Vive

Owlchemy labs, the makers of Job Simulator, have announced that it will be releasing a new VR title based on Rick and Morty for the HTC Vive.

Neither developers Owlchemy or the showrunners Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have said when it will officially be released, but they’ll be offering demos of Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality next week at San Diego Comic-Con.

This is truly a dream project for us. We’ve been huge fans of the franchise since the beginning. Working with Justin Roiland is hilarious, and he gets us. In fact, we first met serendipitously over our mutual love of Job Simulator, got drunk, ate Indian food, and then decided to make a video game together. And now we’re bringing the world of Rick and Morty to virtual life!

A brief teaser was posted online that gave an insight into the title and showed what players would have in store once it is released. As for specific details, Owlchemy aren’t exactly forthcoming, but did have this to say:

“We’ve been working in secret for months, optimizing plumbus physics and working on the intricacies of Rick’s flask. Now we’re ready to give you all a hint of what’s to come! (Spoiler alert: you can totally jump through portals in VR!).”

Keep your eyes peeled for more news covering the release of Rick and Morty for the HTC Vive.
