We’ve known for a while now that the Sony Playstation VR will be hitting the market in October, but now we have an exact date: October 13th. The pricing for the PSVR remains the same as before, at $399 for the ‘core’ bundle or $499 with the required camera and Move controllers bundled in. Sony also remains committed to its goal of 50 games by the end of the year.
With big games like Resident Evil 7 in its future, the PSVR certainly looks to be heading in the right direction. Sony also has a much lower price of entry than its rivals, when you consider the $1000+ PC needed to run the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Bottom-line, Sony’s future looks pretty bright.
What do you think, impressed by what Sony has shown off so far? Do you feel that the Sony Playstation VR has more mainstream potential than the Vive and the Rift? Share your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to stay tuned to VR Source for more coverage from E3 2016.
