Were you expecting your HTC Vive this week but still haven’t received it? You’re not the only one. In an attempt to shed some light on the shipping status of orders, HTC took to their Vive blog to clarify the situation.
In summary, HTC have hit some roadblocks in their logistics but are working to resolve them quickly, but here’s the rundown.
When is my expected delivery date?
The HTC Vive will be shipped in the month that was specified on the notification email you received and a separate shipment notification with a tracking number will be sent when the order is fulfilled.
Are orders being processed and shipped for PayPal users, but not credit cards?
Both orders are being shipped, there is no difference in orders.
Are orders processed and shipped in the order received?
HTC are operating a first in, first out policy for the Vive order fulfilment and so orders will be shipment in order of which they were received.
I paid for express shipping, but I received economy shipping. Why?
You’ll receive a refund on the shipping costs.
Is HTC communicating with customers affected by order processing issues?
HTC will be contacting customers affected by order processing issues, so check your email!
What do I do if my order has been delayed?
HTC advise that order fulfilment is on track and pre-orders began shipping on April 5th as originally scheduled. They advise to check the order confirmation email for the shipment estimate.
I was charged, but didn’t receive my tracking information. Why?
PayPal payments are made immediately at the time you order, but shipment occurs according to the order in which all orders were received. Credit card payments will place a temporary hold on the funds until your Vive has been shipped. Either way, you will receive an order confirmation email first, and a separate shipment notification email with tracking information when your order has been shipped.
How do I get my bundled content?
You’ll get a redemption code within 24 hours of the HTC Vive shipping.
Hopefully that has offered some clarity around what may have happened with your HTC Vive pre-order. Drop us a comment below if you’re still waiting for your headset to ship, or if yours has arrived.
