Oculus has just hosted its first gaming showcase, sharing a wealth of new information about 12 new games and multiple large updates that will be available later this year.
The Oculus Gaming Showcase was hosted by Ruth Bram, an Executive Producer at Oculus, and you can watch it on YouTube. But if you don’t have 25 minutes to spare, we have a brief summary of every announcement:
- After the Fall: Set in post-apocalyptic Los Angles, After the Fall is a coop shooter that requires players to battle not just deadly monsters but also freezing cold.
- Carve Snowboarding: If you’ve ever wondered how the Nintendo 64 classic snowboarding game of the same name would look and feel in VR, then the upcoming VR reboot will definitely satisfy your curiosity.
- I Expect You to Die 2: The Spy and the Liar: The sequel to the popular spy-themed VR puzzler developed by Schell Games will offer more intricate puzzles to solve and mysteries to investigate.
- Lone Echo II: Jack and Liv are making their comeback so that you can enjoy more adventures in space as you explore the rings of Saturn and use high-tech gadgets to complete the game’s objectives.
- Pistol Whip: Smoke & Thunder + The Concierge: All Pistol Whip players can look forward to a new western-themed cinematic campaign later this summer, as well as a new and improved player customization system.
- Resident Evil 4 VR: Experience the horrors of Resident Evil 4 from the perspective of the game’s protagonist and this first-person VR remake of the classic survival horror third-person shooter.
- Star Wars Pinball VR: Fans of Star Wars and pinball can’t afford to miss Star Wars Pinball VR and its eight VR-optimized pinball tables, each based on a different Star Wars movie or show.
- Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Part II: This is another Star Wars title that will be available later this year, introducing two new tales and expanding the core adventure.
- The Climb 2 Freestyle Expansion Pack: As the name suggests, this expansion pack for The Climb 2 adds additional free solo climbing levels for players to enjoy. A nice bonus is the addition of rhythm-based climbing.
- The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Aftershocks: Set directly after the events of the main campaign, the Aftershocks update features a brand-new mission in post-apocalyptic New Orleans.
- Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister: Already available, this update brings the highly anticipated co-op play to the Last Bastion game mode.
- Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife: Set in the same universe as Vampire: The Masquerade, this horror game will task you with solving the mystery of Barclay Mansion.
