Modder Luke Ross is quickly becoming one of the most revered VR content creators thanks to his mods that make it possible to experience several popular PC games in VR, including the Mafia trilogy, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Now, Ross is close to leaving the realm of mortals and becoming a true deity because he has just published a teaser trailer for his upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod.

“Dear VR lovers, stock up on pizzas and remember to stay hydrated, because in a few days you’ll never want to remove your headset again,” Ross writes on his Patreon page. “Before you scroll down searching for the attachment: this is not the release post yet. Just a short teaser of what’s to come very soon now.”

What’s to come seems to be a feature-packed VR mod that is guaranteed to make many owners of high-end gaming PCs very happy.

Even though there are still several rough spots that need to be polished, every HUD-based interaction works as it’s supposed to, as demonstrated in the teaser. This includes browsing the menus, navigating the map, and talking with the game’s numerous NPCs.

As a player, you will be able to zoom in normal view and in scanning mode, activate multiple special camera effects, drive in both the first- and third-person view, enjoy fully implement head-based locomotion when walking on foot, take pictures in photo mode, and much more.

The good news is that the upcoming mod is already compatible with the recently released Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.5, which introduced a host of changes. The mod is supposed to be released by the end of next week no matter how many of the existing issues Ross manages to fix.
