Meta is kicking off its summer Horizon Block Party with a Post Malone VR concert. The concert will be held in both Venues and Horizon Worlds, and it starts on July 15th starting at 6:00 pm PT.

Post Malone will be playing songs from his latest album, Twelve Carat Toothache, and he will be joined on the virtual stage by The Kid Laroi, Fleet Foxes, and Roddy Ricch. From start to finish, the concert should last around 40 minutes.

“I’m pumped for the fans to have this VR experience of Twelve Carat Toothache,” said Post Malone. “We put so much work into this to make it as incredible as possible. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this to life.”

Unlike some previous VR concerts, such as Fortnite’s Travis Scott virtual concert, this one won’t feature any digital avatars. Instead, Port Malone will perform on a real stage, but the concert will be captured in 8K by a camera tailored for 180 display.

According to Meta, it will be the highest resolution and fidelity for a musical performance on its platform to date and the first major tentpole event in Horizon Worlds.

Unfortunately, you may not be able to attend the concert because it will be open only to people in the US, Canada, and the UK who are at least 18 years old. Replays of the concert will play in an Always On room in Venues in Horizon Worlds and on Oculus TV until 11:59 pm PT on September 30.

A 2D version of concert will be broadcasted for those who don’t have a VR headset on Facebook Watch through Meta’s and Post Malone’s Facebook pages, as well as on Messenger and Instagram via Watch Together.
