What better way to celebrate U.S. National Twilight Zone Day and the great television show that inspired it than with an announcement of The Twilight Zone VR launch date.
Fun Train, a producer of premium virtual reality experiences based on established cinematic franchises, will launch its latest virtual experience on the Meta Quest store on July 14, 2022.
“Whether you’re a horror fan, a sci-fi fan or simply love a good mystery, we have something in this game for you,” said Douglas Nabors, CEO of Fun Train, the executive producing team helming The Twilight Zone VR.
In The Twilight Zone VR, you’ll get to experience three unique stories, and your job will be to unravel their intricate mysteries. Each story is fully self-contained, so you don’t need to go through them in any particular order.
“It was important to us to design each of these individual stories with as much variety as possible while also staying true to the heart of the show! We can’t wait to watch players experience this anthology of science fiction adventures firsthand.”
The game takes advantage of Asynchronous SpaceWarp (ASW), a frame-rate smoothing technique that almost halves the CPU/GPU time required to produce nearly the same output from the same content, so you can expect both stable frame rates and detailed graphics.
Right now, beta testing for The Twilight Zone, and the developers are trying to incorporate as much early feedback as possible to polish the game to perfection.
