Last year, Resolution Games announced their next VR title, Ultimechs. Now, the multiplayer VR leader with a growing library of top-rated VR games, such as Demeo, Blaston, Bait!, Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!, and Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale, is back with a new gameplay trailer.
The trailer provides the first look at the essence of Ultimechs: high-octane 2v2 team-based matches in which futuristic robots designed for speed and power pursuit a massive superball as it ricochets its way around the arena.
“Imagine guiding a missile and changing direction on-the-fly as you try to strike a target in mid-air at just the right angle,” said Tommy Palm, founder and CEO, Resolution Games. “That’s the Ultimechs experience. It’s about guiding rocket-powered fists to find that Superball sweet spot, knocking it out of your opponent’s reach and into the goal.”
With Ultimechs, Resolution Games want to give players a fast-paced game that’s fun to play with friends and doesn’t take much time to get into (even though it may certainly take a long time to master). Besides the aforementioned 2v2 mode, 1v1 play will also be available for players who don’t want to share their moments of victory with anyone else.
Ultimechs is set to release later this year, but VR games that can’t wait to strap on their headsets to pilot a mech of their own can wishlist the game on Steam starting today.
